To allow the Subvert to be easily carried and keep it available for immediate access, its handle includes a polished stainless steel pocket clip configured for right-side, tip-up carry. A portion of the matte-finished liners is also exposed to allow access to a lanyard hole and to complement the aesthetics of machined accents on the knife’s pivot pin. They are capped by contoured orange G-10 scales and joined by a matching G-10 backspacer that provides additional strength while allowing an easy-to-clean open-backed construction style. The Subvert’s handle is built on a framework of thick, skeletonized titanium liners that give it outstanding structural strength and form the foundation of its stout LinerLock mechanism. The satin-finished blade also has a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ and rides on twin ball-bearing pivot washers that ensure an ultra-smooth one-hand-opening action. Its dramatically styled blade is crafted from CPM® S30V® particle metallurgy stainless steel and features a broad profile, pronounced belly, and full-flat grind for maximum edge length and extreme cutting performance. Recurves offer a lot of flexibility in cutting behavior packed into one shape.Designed by Israeli goldsmith and custom knifemaker Nati Amor, the Spyderco Subvert faithfully translates all the key qualities of his handcrafted “Sabotage” design into a premium-quality production folder. In any of those kinds of cutting, some prioritize certain cuts and cutting behavior over others, which is why different blades can be used to do the same things by different people, by the same person with flexible priorities, or used in a system to finish potentially complex tasks like game processing or bushcraft. There youll find plenty of useful and helpful information about spyderco clone knife and even tips to making your shopping experience an amazing one Reading reviews on item that you desired help to make safe purchases. That is how the blade shape would work for me, but I think there are other applications, like plant/animal harvesting, that the shape is well prepared for. When shopping for spyderco clone knife, the most important thing to note is to always read the reviews before checking out. Something with that much weight towards the tip can be nice for light hacking in that situation too. ![]() It would be more practical than the folder to carry in the situations where it’s blade shape would perform best for me.Ī recurve with some reach is good for pull cuts made while out kayaking and the belly/high tip can be pushed outward without bending the wrist or using unstable grips. The type of knife you describe, Fireman, is one I would love to own and put to use here in Florida. I thought I read somewhere a while ago that there was a prototype of a “mini-subvert” at a show. They are my favorite blade shape and I think the most versatile one as well. ![]() Regardless of the details, I really want to push for more recurves, and want some good ones to use myself. My favorite variation of the custom design is the occasionally made Bowie-tipped one. Honestly, my personal style in recurves is a bit different from the wide tip and belly of the Subvert, but it’s shape does have some advantages and is done really well, in my opinion. However, I think if a fixed blade was made, especially in either of those Salt Series worthy steels, I would have to buy it. You are correct that the only reason I don’t have one is the price, but it’s one I’ve intended to eventually save up for. The Subvert is a striking design that I think already works well in its current form.
